i see… now that lexa has been killed off, now that jason is treating the LGBT community the way he has treated the POC community since season 1 you hate him. now that it impacts you, you’re agreeing with ricky and saying you “see his point of view” but yesterday you were calling him unprofessional and petulant, dismissing poc who wanted better, dismissing disabled fans who wanted better, because jr was giving you what you wanted.

we thought the same thing, you know. we saw the 100 and the amount of poc characters in leadership positions and thought it would be different. that we would be treated different, that we weren’t expendable, weren’t the villains, weren’t the First To Die™. and every time we brought up valid concerns, we were dismissed and told we were reaching, told that characters who represented us weren’t dying because of their race, but because it was necessary for the plot. sound familiar? 

the way lexa died was awful. it was the most stereotypical lesbian death trope in tv and it was cheap and it was lazy and jr used you and let you have hope and then took it away. but please don’t fucking act like this is the first time JR has mistreated an oppressed community. please don’t fucking say that you believe ricky now that you’ve decided jason isn’t the walking marker of revolutionary television progression anymore. please don’t fucking treat the poc members of the fandom like our concerns about the human piece of trash that is jason rothenberg are only valid now that he’s treating you the way he’s always treated us. 

this shit has been happening to us since wells was killed for shock value in season 1 episode 3. since anya was killed for shock value in season 2 episode 4. since raven’s disability was sidelined for multiple episodes in a row. since lincoln has been tortured in almost every single scene he’s been in. since two men of colour have been made the face of xenophobia in a racist, “9/11 esque” plot. please, do not fucking act like jason’s treatment of marginalized groups is something that you haven’t been turning a blind eye to since season 1.
